Swiss deep tech firm Typewise has introduced a new collaboration with Professor Ryan Cotterell of ETH Zurich.
The partnership sees Typewise becoming a member of forces with Professor Cotterell of ETH Zurich’s Department of Computer Science.
The partnership will revolve round AI text prediction technology with specific analysis going into advanced sentence prediction, enterprise customization, grammar help and voice assist. The work is funded by the Swiss Innovation Agency, Innosuisse, and is a part of the ‘Future of Mobile Interaction’ challenge.

Previously, Typewise collaborated with the ETH professorship for pc science of Thomas Hofmann, whose analysis experience consists of machine studying, deep studying, and pure language understanding. The work assisted the event of Typewise’s AI text prediction engine which now powers Typewise’s AI Writing Assistant, their API, and their keyboard app which has been downloaded 2 million occasions and received a CES Innovation Award two years working. The partnership led to two ETH AI researchers – George Roberts PhD, and Luca Campanella – becoming a member of Typewise as full-time workers to lead the corporate’s AI workforce.
