IIIT-Hyderabad launches course on Machine Learning for drug design

Hyderabad: IHub-Data in collaboration with IIIT-Hyderabad, is providing a 12 week course on ‘Machine Learning for Chemistry and Drug Design’ with particular emphasis on drug discovery. The course is slated to begin from March 10.
Participation is open to college students, researchers, professionals with background in sciences who want to perceive strategies and functions of AI/ML in domains like Chemistry, Biology and Pharmaceutical Science, in response to a press launch.

The course presents basic theoretical and sensible ideas in AI/ML and their software for drug discovery. There could be a sequence of lectures masking matters in each sciences and AI/ML to assist construct a robust theoretical basis and there would even be accompanying hands-on tutorial classes to assist the individuals decide up sensible drawback fixing talents.
An understanding of arithmetic at intermediate or 2 stage is deemed important for individuals. Knowledge of any programming language could be extremely helpful, it stated. A number of internships/analysis alternatives could be provided for high performing grasp’s and PhD college students.
